Also, there's an adorable new image that you'll want to see and of course, have for your collection:)  In addition, SOFTPENCIL is sponsoring the challenge at LOLLIPOP CRAFTS this week and the theme is Glitter, Sparkle and Gems.  You have til Saturday, Oct. 2 at 8pm to get your project done and linked over there, so go check it out!

Today is the LAST DAY of the BUY ONE, GET ONE FREE SEPTEMBER SALE, so hurry on over to SOFTPENCIL SHOP to take advantage of this AWESOME sale!!

This week the DT got to work with TRICK OR TREAT and this image was super fun to work with.  I colored some of my image with Copics, then did masking using vellum and did the sky using my Copic air brush system.  I think it turned out pretty cool.  Here's some samples from my process of creating the image.

Then, I finished coloring the image after the airbrushing and added the moom and some outlines, etc.  Papers are DP - Echo Park and SU CS (think it's pumpkin pie).  Quickutz dies used for scalloped piece and long rectangle.  Image cut with nesties and corner piece done with EK Success punch.  Blinging bats are from Michaels, ribbon from Michaels, sentiment from Hero Arts clear set, stamped with Staz-On jet black, cut with SU punch, daubed with SU peach parfait.  I also went over girl's hat, boy's cape and bats' bellies with JudiKins glaze for some extra shine and dimension.  Hope you like it, let me know what you think:)

DIGISTAMPS 4 JOY NEW CHALLENGE - THINK PINK!

Time for a new challenge at DIGISTAMPS 4 JOY.  In honor of Oct. being National BREAST CANCER AWARENESS Month, we are using the theme of THINK PINK for this challenge.  Now your cards do not have to relate to Breast Cancer in anyway, they just need to be pink.  If you need some inspiration, please make sure to visit DIGISTAMPS 4 JOY BLOG and check out the work from the rest of the DT.  You will also need to go there to post your project using out Linky Tool.  In addition, you'll want to check out DIGISTAMPS 4 JOY SHOP - there's tons of new stuff available and you can even pick up a FREEBIE while you're there:)

I made my card using a technique that I haven't used in forever, but I always LOVE how it turns out.  I used to do the technique with punches, but the Big Shot makes it pretty easy and gives a few more options re: placement.
I used SU pink pirouette and DP for this card.  My DIGISTAMPS 4 JOY image was printed and then cut out in 2 different sizes.  Top image has American Art Glitter on it, left was colored with Atyou Spicas and right was done with Stickles.  They are the same on front and back of circle.  I attached the fronts and backs using mono adhesive and the string is embroidary floss.  Sentiment is one I have seen from a number of different places, I altered it a little and generated it from my computer.  Flower is from K & Co.  I hope you like it.  I'm really happy how it turned out:)

This card is also for the following challenges:
CRAFT DEN - going round in circles
AI FACTORY - anything goes
SOME ODD GIRL - monochromatic as applies to image as well
ALICE IN WONDERLAND - window or hole

So this week, being inspired by the challenge at DIGITAL TUESDAY, which is to make a gift set, I made a gift set!
This set is a back to school set which I am going to give to one of my kids' babysitters who is starting college.  I have included a card, package of pencils and a composition book.  Not only will these all be GREAT for school, but they also tied in so well with the SOFTPENCIL IMAGE I used for the set.
For the card, I used the sketch from FRIDAY SKETCHERS and the color challenge from DIVA COFFEE BREAK DESIGNS which calls for SU red rose, baja breeze, not quite navy and river rock.  I embossed the top 3 colors with Cuttlebug EFs.  Buttons are from Denami Design.  Image is colored with Copics and Atyou Spicas, cut with nesties and daubed in SU rose red.  Sentiment is from Rubber Stampede stamped in SU rose red, cut with nesties, daubed with SU baja breeze and attached with brad from Basic Grey.

Both images colored with Copics and Atyou Spicas.  Image on pencil case is cut with nesties and daubed with SU rose red.  Button is Denami Designs, CS is SU rose red and DP is SEI.  Sketch from EAT, SLEEP, STAMP.  Composition Book image is cut using Quickutz die and Unity stamp stamped in Staz-on jet black ink is stamped right above the image.  I hope you like it, I'm really happy with the results!☺

The following challenges were also used for my projects:
INCY WINCY DESIGNS - back to school
FUSSY AND FANCY - back to school
